Dena Bank is an Indian commercial bank based in Mumbai. The bank was established by the Devkaran Nanjee family on the 26th of May, 1938. At the time of establishment, its name was Devkaran Nanjee Banking Company Ltd. Then after, the banking Compnay was incorporated as a Public Ltd. In December 1939, changing its name to Dena Bank Ltd. The bank was nationalized by the Government of India along with 13 other commercial banks in the year 1969. Dena Bank DB gives a range of banking and financial services in India. Saving, current, and senior citizens accounts, as well as fixed, recurring and loan linked recurring deposits and minor savings schemes are the deposits product of the company.

The operating profit of the company was INR 10,644.30 million during the fiscal year 2009, an increase of 23.95% over 2008. The net profit of the company was INR 4,266.60 million during the fiscal year 2009, an increase of 17.47% over 2008. 100% branches of the bank have been fully computerized, and the bank has established its own network called DENANET to ensure seamless connectivity and smooth workflow all the way through its baking process.
